Mandela Day of Service with the Bridge
Description: Inspired by former South African President Nelson Mandela’s life and years of public service, MOAA will host the 4th Annual Mandela Day of Service where we will be joined by volunteers and partners for 67 minutes of services, commemorating the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.
Date and Time: July 21, 2018 8am – 10am
Location: Oxon Run Park – Baseball Field 3713 Wheeler Road Southeast Washington, DC 20032 / Meet up at 4th Street SE & Wayne Place SE Washington, DC 20032 (Closest Metro Station: Congress Heights | Green Line Shuttle pick up available from the metro station every 30 minutes)

Bridge Summer Series: Jazz in the Garden
Description: The Bridge is hosting an outing to Jazz in the Garden on Friday, July 27th for Incendio, Instrumental world guitar as part of our summer series of events. The meet-up will begin at 6:00 pm in the Garden and look for the TFA Bridge banner. There will be ice cream treats and you can bring a blanket or a chair, as well additional nourishing items.

2018 Military Bands Summer Concert Series
Description: The different branches of the military have performed free concerts on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol for more than 130 years. During the summer, bring the family to “Sunsets with a Soundtrack,” a concert series from the U.S. Army Band featuring performances nearly every Friday night (June – August). The U.S. Marine Band, Navy Band, and Air Force Band also perform on the Capitol’s West Lawn throughout the week.

Location: U.S. Capitol West Front steps (National Mall side)
2018 Around The World Cultural Food Festival
Description: Around the World Cultural Food Festival brings together diverse, authentic, living traditions from different countries around the world. Our mission is to preserve and strengthen the culture of each country while presenting it to the public throughout the course of this event and give all the participants a chance to learn from one another and understand the cultural differences and similarities.
Date and Time: August 18, 2018, 11am-7pm
Location: Freedom Plaza (and Pennsylvania Avenue between 13th and 14th)
Cost: General Admission is free, VIP tickets range between $35-$69
